Surbuf's HR Series cleaning + vacuuming pads should only be used for cleaning or buffing a surface - not for applying finishes.
The HR Series pads combine vacuum holes with Surbuf's patented MicroFingers® technology to produce a deep cleaning action not available with other buffing pads. This single step cleaning action combines two steps into one. It cleans solid surfaces while trapping dust particles in the vacuum system of random orbit sanders/polishers to save time and provide for a dust-free surface and cleaner working environment.
| Before
you begin applying finishes, use our HR Series pad to clean and vacuum
away dust for a smoother finish. The vacuum holes provided in the pad
work with the vacuum hole ports on the base plate of your random orbit
sander/polisher to trap and vacuum away surface dust in one easy step.
This eliminates the need to wipe the surface with a tacky cloth, which
can leave a residue on the surface. . |
||
| To
use the vacuuming pad, make sure the dust collection bag is attached
to your machine or it is attached directly to a vacuum cleaner hose
and vacuum (optional with some models of random orbit machines). . |
||
| For
best results, use the slowest speed setting and make the first pass
on the surface being cleaned by slightly raising the leading edge of
the pad in the direction of travel. This allows more air flow to the
vacuum holes, initially trapping more dust. Once the first pass has
been completed, go over the surface again in a flat buffing action to
deep clean and remove any remaining dust. . |
||
| Before
you begin to apply finishes, make sure you switch to a solid Surbuf
R Series pad (without
holes) to prevent materials from being sucked into the machine. . |
